This is an attributed devotional shrine associated with Rashid al-Hajari, May Allah Have Mercy On Him, but the available early sources do not securely establish it as his confirmed burial place. The present site lies in the rural Al-Shihabiyah area near Al-Kifl in Babil, while the strongly documented historical setting of Rashid al-Hajari is Kufa and the circle of close companions of Imam Ali, Peace Be Upon Him.
Rijal and biographical works preserve his name as Rashid or Rushayd ibn Aqabah al-Hajari. He is remembered among the loyal pupils and intimate companions of Imam Ali.
