قبر آیتالله العظمی سید محمد محمد صادق صدر رحمة الله علیه در گورستان وادیالسلام، آرامگاه اصلی او و یکی از مکانهای مهم تاریخ دینی معاصر عراق است. این مکان با حوزه نجف، نماز جمعه عمومی و پایداری دینی در برابر ترس سیاسی پیوند دارد. او در ۲۳ مارس ۱۹۴۳ در خاندان علمی صدر متولد شد و به شهید صدر دوم شهرت یافت. قبرش از برجستهترین آرامگاههای عالمان معاصر وادیالسلام است و یاد مرجعی را حفظ میکند که نفوذش از حلقه رسمی حوزه فراتر رفت.
خاندان صدر نسب موسوی خود را به امام موسی کاظم علیه السلام میرساند و عالمان فراوانی در عراق، لبنان و ایران پرورش داده است. سید محمد صدر زیر نظر پدرش سید محمد صادق صدر و پدربزرگ مادریاش شیخ محمدرضا آل یاسین در محیطی علمی رشد کرد. این تربیت، نظم خانوادگی، عبادت، زبان عربی، فقه و احساس مسئولیت عمومی عالم دینی را در کنار هم قرار داد.
او در حوزه نجف تحصیل و تدریس کرد و به مرتبه اجتهاد رسید. آثارش گستره پروژه علمی او را نشان میدهد: ما وراء الفقه مسائل فراتر از ابواب معمول فقهی را بررسی کرد؛ فقه الاخلاق حکم شرعی را با رفتار اخلاقی پیوند داد؛ و موسوعة الامام المهدی علیه السلام در چند جلد عقیده، تاریخ، نشانهها و مسائل اجتماعی مربوط به امام منتظر را مطالعه کرد. او در اصول دین، حقوق انسان، اصول فقه و اندیشه اجتماعی نیز نوشت و درس خارج فقه ارائه داد.
عراق دهه ۱۹۹۰ با پیامدهای جنگ، تحریم اقتصادی، سرکوب خیزش ۱۹۹۱ و نظارت شدید بر نهادهای دینی روبهرو بود. سید محمد صدر بهتدریج با مردم عادی، عشایر، کارگران، جوانان، خانوادههای فقیر و ساکنان شهرهای استانها ارتباط مستقیم برقرار کرد. او آموزش دینی را با زبان قابل فهم تشویق میکرد، نمایندگانی میگماشت، سخن مردم را میشنید و معتقد بود مرجعیت باید ترسها و نیازهای واقعی جامعه را بشناسد.
مشهورترین برنامه او احیا و گسترش نماز جمعه عمومی بود. اجتماع هفتگی در مسجد کوفه و بسیاری از شهرهای عراق به محل پیوسته عبادت، تربیت اخلاقی، ارتباط اجتماعی و آگاهی عمومی تبدیل شد. پژوهشهای دانشگاهی از گسترش نماز به مناطق متعدد و حضور جمعیتهای بزرگ یاد میکنند. او نماز جمعه را پیوند حوزه و جامعه میدانست، در حالی که حکومت بعث گردهماییهای مستقل را تهدیدی رو به رشد برای کنترل خود میدید.
خطبههایش مردم را به تقوا، توبه، مسئولیت خانواده، حمایت از فقرا، رد ستم، حفظ هویت دینی عراق و وحدت مسالمتآمیز دعوت میکرد. او به زبان قابل فهم مردم سخن میگفت و از عادتهای حکومتی و دینی که دانش را از جامعه دور میکرد انتقاد داشت. در دوره پایانی، خطابه با کفن به نماد آمادگی برای مرگ به جای سکوت تبدیل شد؛ ارزش تاریخی اصلی در خطبههای عمومی مستند و خطر واقعی پیرامون آنهاست.
در جمعه ۱۹ فوریه ۱۹۹۹، پس از ایراد چهلوپنجمین خطبه جمعه در مسجد کوفه، به سوی خانه خود در نجف بازگشت. همان شب حملهای مسلحانه او و دو فرزندش سید مصطفی صدر و سید مؤمل صدر را کشت. پژوهشهای معاصر و بعدی ترور را با فضای امنیتی بعث و ترس حکومت از گسترش نفوذ مستقل او مرتبط میدانند، هرچند در جزئیات اجرا و مسئولیت افراد اختلاف گزارش وجود دارد.
ترور او در چند شهر عراق اندوه، اعتراض، بازداشت و ناآرامی پدید آورد. پس از او نماز جمعه، شبکه ارتباط دینی مردمی، شاگردان، نمایندگان و جنبشی گسترده ادامه یافت و بعد از سال ۲۰۰۳ نیز اثرگذار ماند. میراث او نباید به سیاست حزبی بعدی محدود شود؛ تألیف فقهی، تربیت اخلاقی، نزدیک کردن حوزه به گروههای محروم و نمونه سخن علنی در جامعهای آکنده از ترس نیز بخشی از آن است.
دفن در وادیالسلام این عالم معاصر را با جغرافیای مقدس و علمی چندصدساله نجف پیوند داد. زائر در اینجا دانش، شجاعت، عبادت، خدمت و فداکاری را به یاد میآورد و پژوهشگر قبر را نقطهای برای مطالعه حوزه، حکومت بعث، دین عمومی، سرکوب سیاسی و جنبشهای اجتماعی جدید عراق میداند. درس پایدار آن است که دانش هنگامی معنا مییابد که با مسئولیت اخلاقی، راهنمایی قابل فهم، توجه به ضعیفان و شجاعت شخصی همراه باشد.

اهمیت تاریخی / دینی
این قبر برای فهم نجف معاصر جایگاهی مرکزی دارد، زیرا دانش حوزوی، مرجعیت، خطابه عمومی هفتگی و فشار سیاسی عراق بعثی را به هم پیوند میدهد. مکان یادآور تلاش فقیهی است که میخواست ارتباط مستقیم حوزه و بخشهای گسترده جامعه را بازسازی کند.
جنبش نماز جمعه به آموزش دینی شکل منظم عمومی داد و شبکههایی در شهرهای متعدد عراق ایجاد کرد. اهمیت آن تنها سیاسی نبود؛ خطبهها درباره عبادت، اخلاق، فقر، مسئولیت خانواده، وحدت ملی و وظایف رهبری دینی سخن میگفتند.
ترور سید محمد صدر و دو فرزندش در ۱۹ فوریه ۱۹۹۹ به رویدادی بزرگ در تاریخ عراق اواخر سده بیستم تبدیل شد. واکنشها عمق وابستگی مردمی، شدت سرکوب حکومتی و رابطه میان اجتماع دینی و ترس سیاسی را نشان میدهد.
دفن در وادیالسلام، داستان معاصر او را در جغرافیای مقدس کهن نجف جای داد. برای زائر، قبر نماد دانش، شجاعت، خدمت و فداکاری است و برای پژوهشگر، مکانی کلیدی برای مطالعه حوزه، حکومت بعث، دین مردمی و جنبشهای عراقی پس از ۱۹۹۱ است.
