معرفی

این زیارتگاه محلی در حومه غربی شهرستان محمودیه به عبدالله بن حسن مثنی، معروف به عبدالله محض، رحمة الله علیه منسوب است. این مکان آرامگاه اصلی و ثابت او نیست. منابع کلاسیک زندان نهایی او را با هاشمیه، نزدیک دروازه‌های کوفه و فرات، پیوند می‌دهند؛ در حالی که سنت زیارتی مشهور عراق او را با آرامگاه سید عبدالله ابونجم در ناحیه شنافیه دیوانیه نیز مرتبط می‌داند. مکان کنونی محمودیه انتسابی محلی و متأخر است. عبدالله محض فرزند حسن مثنی بن امام حسن علیه السلام و سیده فاطمه دختر امام حسین سلام الله علیها بود و نسب حسنی و حسینی را در خود جمع می‌کرد. لقب‌های محض و کامل بازتاب این پیوند علوی و جایگاه بلند او در خانواده‌اند و کنیه مشهورش ابومحمد بود. او از بزرگان سادات مدینه بود. فرزندانش محمد نفس زکیه و ابراهیم در روزگار خلیفه عباسی منصور مقاومت بزرگ علوی را رهبری کردند. مقاتل الطالبیین، انساب الاشراف، تاریخ طبری، طبقات ابن سعد و کتاب‌های نسب، زمینه نظارت، دستگیری، انتقال از مدینه به عراق، زندان و افزایش رویارویی میان خاندان حسنی و حکومت عباسی را حفظ کرده‌اند. منصور عبدالله محض و دیگر بزرگان حسنی را بازداشت کرد. درباره زندان دقیق، شیوه وفات و محل دفن اختلاف وجود دارد؛ برخی او را در زندان هاشمیه نزدیک فرات قرار می‌دهند، برخی فروریختن زندان بر زندانیان را نقل می‌کنند، و حافظه زیارتی متأخر آرامگاه شنافیه را مشهور ساخته است. نتیجه مشترک و استوار آن است که او در سال ۱۴۵ هجری در شرایط سخت حبس عباسی درگذشت یا کشته شد. ارزش مکان محمودیه در حافظه محلی سادات حسنی، دعا و محبت اهل بیت علیهم السلام است. زائر باید بداند که عظمت تاریخی ثابت عبدالله محض، روایت‌های زندان هاشمیه، انتساب مشهور آرامگاه ابونجم و شواهد همین مکان محمودیه در یک سطح نیستند. ازاین‌رو رکورد با احترام به عنوان مکان ثانوی منسوب و با انتساب دفن در دست بررسی حفظ شده است. اهمیت تاریخی / دینی

این مکان نسب بزرگ حسنی و حسینی و تاریخ زندان عباسی عبدالله محض را با حافظه زیارتی محلی محمودیه پیوند می‌دهد، اما آرامگاه اصلی و ثابت او نیست. روایت زندان هاشمیه، وفات یا شهادت او در سال ۱۴۵ هجری و انتساب مشهور آرامگاه ابونجم در ناحیه شنافیه، جایگاه تاریخی و زیارتی استوارتری از همین انتساب محمودیه دارند. توضیح این تفاوت، زائر را از اشتباه گرفتن مقام محلی با قبر ثابت حفظ می‌کند. حفظ مکان به عنوان زیارتگاه ثانوی منسوب، هم به ارادت محلی و هم به امانت تاریخی خدمت می‌کند.
