معرفی

این مکان زیارتی وابسته به مسجد در گورستان شیخ معروف، در بخش کرخ بغداد، به حضرت یوشع بن نون، درود بر او، منسوب است. سنت محلی عراق آن را قبر او می‌داند، اما در جغرافیای گسترده اسلامی و یهودی مکان‌های دیگری نیز به یوشع نسبت داده شده‌اند. بنابراین نسبت بغداد به عنوان سنتی محلی و محترم معرفی می‌شود، نه آرامگاهی که در آن هیچ اختلافی وجود ندارد. در کنار مسجد از حجره‌ای کوچک با گنبد یاد شده است. نوشته‌های محلی متأخر از هیئتی در سال هزار و نهصد و شصت و هفت سخن می‌گویند که قبر را شناسایی کرد و پس از آن مکان شهرت بیشتری یافت. صورت‌جلسه رسمی اصلی یا سند کهنی از این هیئت به دست نیامد؛ از این رو رویداد فقط به عنوان تاریخ محلی جدید حفظ شده است. این گزارش رشد نسبت در دوره معاصر را توضیح می‌دهد، ولی دفن کهن را ثابت نمی‌کند. صحیح بخاری همراه جوان حضرت موسی، درود بر او، را یوشع بن نون معرفی می‌کند. داستان نگه داشته شدن خورشید در صحیح بخاری و صحیح مسلم درباره پیامبری بی‌نام است و متن آن روایات نام او را نمی‌آورد. روایتی مرتبط در مسند احمد به صراحت نام یوشع را ذکر می‌کند، هرچند ناقدان حدیث درباره طریق آن گفت‌وگو کرده‌اند. این منابع هویت دینی شخصیت را تقویت می‌کنند، نه ادعای قبر بغداد را. گورستان شیخ معروف و پهنه قدیمی‌تر شونیزیه بخشی از جغرافیای گسترده تدفین و دانش در بغداد است. نسبت مکانی در آنجا به یوشع بن نون بازتاب حافظه دینی شهر و احترام به پیامبران بنی‌اسرائیل است. با این حال حافظه شهری متأخر، وجود مسجد و ادامه زیارت با دلیل دفن تاریخی نخستین برابر نیست. زائر می‌تواند در اینجا دعا و تلاوت کند، اما معرفی دقیق باید سه موضوع را جدا نگه دارد: هویت دینی استوار یوشع، نسبت متأخر بغداد و اختلاف ادامه‌دار درباره محل واقعی دفن او. این تفاوت‌گذاری از حرمت مکان نمی‌کاهد؛ بلکه اطلاعات روشن به زائر می‌دهد و مانع تبدیل ادعایی اثبات‌نشده به یقین می‌شود.
