Hadith and manaqib literature preserves reports of Radd al-Shams in more than one setting, while the Hillah-Babylon identification is a distinct later Iraqi devotional tradition and must not be merged with reports located near al-Sahba or Khaybar. The building is a historic mosque and maqam near Bab al-Husayn, not Imam Ali's grave; his recognized principal burial is in Najaf. Iraqi heritage reporting supports the present architecture and conservation concern. The claim that an ancient Babylonian solar temple directly became this mosque is retained only as local heritage memory, not established archaeology. | Page/Volume: أخبار رد الشمس وفضائل علي؛ الصفحات تختلف باختلاف الطبعات | Article role: SECONDARY ATTRIBUTED PLACE / NOT A BURIAL.
