معرفی

مشهد رد الشمس نزدیک باب الحسین در حله، محل دفن امام علی علیه السلام نیست؛ بلکه مسجدی تاریخی و مقام زیارتی منسوب به اوست. آرامگاه اصلی و شناخته‌شده امام علی علیه السلام در نجف اشرف قرار دارد. سنت محلی حله این مکان را با روایت بازگشت خورشید برای ادای نماز عصر پیوند می‌دهد. گزارش‌های بازگشت خورشید در کتاب‌های حدیث و مناقب در چند مکان نقل شده‌اند. بعضی روایت‌ها از اسماء بنت عمیس و رخدادی نزدیک صهباء یا خیبر سخن می‌گویند، در حالی که روایت حله و بابل حافظه‌ای جداگانه و عراقی درباره سفر امام علی است. این دو مکان نباید به عنوان یک رخداد و یک محل قطعی با هم ادغام شوند. ساختمان کنونی به سبب گنبد مخروطی، مناره، نمازخانه هشت‌ضلعی و معماری سلجوقی اهمیت دارد. گزارش‌های فرهنگی عراق آن را چند صد متر دورتر از باب الحسین معرفی می‌کنند و از پیشینه معماری نزدیک به نه قرن یا بیشتر سخن می‌گویند. ترک‌های گنبد و پایه‌ها و فرسایش طولانی، نیاز فوری به حفاظت و مرمت ایجاد کرده‌اند. حافظه محلی همچنین از تبدیل مکانی وابسته به پرستش خورشید در بابل به مسجدی اسلامی یاد می‌کند. همه جزئیات این روایت به یک اندازه با باستان‌شناسی ثابت نشده‌اند، اما بنا به‌روشنی بخشی مهم از تاریخ شهری حله، حافظه دینی و میراث معماری اسلامی شده است. توضیح اصلی برای زائر این است که اینجا قبر امام علی علیه السلام نیست، بلکه مقام منسوب ثانوی و مسجدی تاریخی است. ارزش مکان در یاد نماز، محبت امام علی، میراث شهری حله و حفاظت از معماری کمیاب قرار دارد.
