این زیارتگاه تاریخی در ناحیه المصلی و خانقاه کرکوک با دو هویت محلی نزدیک به هم شناخته میشود. زائران کاکایی مکان مقدس را خانقاه و شخصیت وابسته به آن را خان احمد مینامند، در حالی که بسیاری از مسلمانان آن را زیارتگاه امام احمد میشناسند. گزارش محلی جدید تأیید میکند که مکان همچنان در چشمانداز مشترک شهری کرکوک، زیارتگاهی زنده برای جامعه کاکایی است.
پژوهشی دانشگاهی در سال دو هزار و بیستوچهار، بر پایه دفترهای وقف عثمانی ولایت موصل، از زاویه امام احمد در میان اوقاف کرکوک یاد میکند. در دفتر مورد استناد آمده است که زاویه نزدیک قلعه کرکوک بود و امام احمد در آن دفن شده بود؛ پژوهش همچنین میگوید زاویه کهن بعدها از میان رفت یا برداشته شد. این شاهد، سنت زیارتگاه و وقف عثمانی را در کرکوک ثابت میکند، اما به تنهایی نشان نمیدهد که همه اجزای ساختمان کنونی ادامه بیوقفه همان بنای قدیمی باشند.
زندگینامه و شجره تفصیلی امام احمد یا خان احمد در مواد تاریخی در دسترس به شکل مطمئن حفظ نشده است. شهادت جدید کاکایی او را عالم و شخصیتی مقدس در سنت کاکایی معرفی میکند، اما تاریخ ولادت، وفات، خاندان یا مجموعه آثار قابل اتکایی در دست نیست. بنابراین صفحه، سنت مستند زیارتگاه را از شواهد محدود درباره خود شخصیت جدا میسازد.
اهمیت مکان در پیوند تاریخ وقف عثمانی با دینداری زنده کاکایی و شناخت گستردهتر مسلمانان است. اینجا نشان میدهد که یک مکان در کرکوک میتواند نامهای دینی همپوشان داشته باشد، بیآنکه پایگاه داده مجبور شود زندگینامهای اثباتنشده را قطعی سازد. به همین سبب دسته اصلی مکانهای میراث دینی دیگر ادیان حفظ شده و هویت شخص با احتیاط ارزیابی شده است.
اهمیت تاریخی / دینی
سند وقف عثمانی استوارترین پایه تاریخی مکان است. این سند زاویه امام احمد و سنت دفن نزدیک قلعه کرکوک را در تاریخ نهادی اوقاف شهر مستند میکند و همزمان هشدار میدهد که بنای کهن بدون تغییر تا امروز باقی نمانده است.
خانقاه کنونی به عنوان میراث زنده کاکایی و مکانی که مسلمانان نیز آن را با نام امام احمد میشناسند اهمیت دارد. زندگینامه شخص محدود است، اما سند عثمانی و استفاده پیوسته جامعه، ارزیابی قوی مکان را بدون ساختن تاریخ شخصی ممکن میسازد.
