परिचय

यह मज़ार सुलेमानियाह की बड़ी जामा मस्जिद के भीतर हाजी काका अहमद-ए-शेख़, अल्लाह उन पर रहमत फ़रमाए, की दफ़्नगाह है। आधुनिक जीवन-वृत्त और शोध सामग्री उनके जीवन को 1793 से 1887 के बीच रखती है, उन्हें शेख़ मारूफ़ अल-नौदी का पुत्र बताती है, और उन्नीसवीं सदी के इराक़ी कुर्दिस्तान में क़ादिरिया सिलसिले के प्रमुख आलिम, सूफ़ी शिक्षक और सामाजिक सुधारक के रूप में प्रस्तुत करती है। उन्होंने प्रारंभिक धार्मिक शिक्षा अपने पिता से प्राप्त की और फ़िक़्ह, तफ़्सीर, हदीस तथा तसव्वुफ़ से जुड़े रहे। नवीन शोध उनकी फ़ारसी चिट्ठियों और धार्मिक लेखन को उनके बौद्धिक तथा सुधारवादी दृष्टिकोण का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्रोत मानता है। इन लेखनों में धार्मिक शिक्षा को नैतिकता, सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व और जनसेवा से जोड़ा गया है। सुलेमानियाह की आधुनिक सांस्कृतिक स्मृति और शोध सम्मेलनों में उनकी उदारता, ज़रूरतमंदों के लिए खुले दस्तरख़्वान, नेत्रहीन लोगों की धार्मिक शिक्षा और विभिन्न धार्मिक व सामाजिक समुदायों के प्रति सम्मानपूर्ण व्यवहार का उल्लेख मिलता है। ये विवरण मुख्यतः आधुनिक अध्ययन और स्थानीय स्मृति में सुरक्षित हैं, इसलिए उन्हें इसी सावधानी के साथ प्रस्तुत किया गया है। हाजी काका अहमद-ए-शेख़, अल्लाह उन पर रहमत फ़रमाए, का निधन 1887 में सुलेमानियाह में हुआ और उन्हें बड़ी जामा मस्जिद के परिसर में दफ़्न किया गया। मस्जिद आज भी इबादत, शिक्षा, परोपकारी भोजन और ज़ियारत का सक्रिय केंद्र है तथा यह मज़ार कुर्दिस्तान और इराक़ के अन्य क्षेत्रों से आने वाले लोगों को आकर्षित करता है।
