परिचय

ऐतिहासिक / धार्मिक महत्व

यह हरम इराक़ के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण अहल अल-बैत स्थलों में है, क्योंकि यह दसवें और ग्यारहवें इमाम के घर और उनकी क़ब्रों को सुरक्षित रखता है। यह समझाता है कि अब्बासी साम्राज्य की सैनिक और शाही राजधानी सामर्रा किस प्रकार ज़ियारत और पारिवारिक स्मृति का बड़ा नगर भी बन गई। ऐतिहासिक रूप से यह स्थल धार्मिक नेतृत्व और अब्बासी सत्ता के संबंध को दर्ज करता है। इमाम अल-हादी उन पर शांति हो का अनिवार्य स्थानांतरण, निगरानी, पत्र और प्रतिनिधि-व्यवस्था, जनाज़ा और घर में दफ़न, नौवीं सदी के सामर्रा के राजनीतिक इतिहास का भाग हैं। स्थापत्य की दृष्टि से हरम सदियों की संरक्षकता, विस्तार और पुनर्निर्माण का परिणाम है। दोनों इमामों की क़ब्रों के साथ नर्जिस और हकीमा ख़ातून उन दोनों पर शांति हो से संबद्ध क़ब्रों ने वह पवित्र केंद्र बनाया जिसके चारों ओर परिसर और नगर विकसित हुए। २००६ और २००७ के विनाश तथा बाद के पुनर्निर्माण ने हरम को आधुनिक राष्ट्रीय महत्व भी दिया। इसकी पुनर्स्थापना धार्मिक विरासत की रक्षा, सामर्रा के लोगों की दृढ़ता और सांप्रदायिक हिंसा के बाद सार्वजनिक स्मृति को फिर बनाने की संभावना का प्रतीक है।
