परिचय
यह इमाम अली इब्न मुहम्मद अल-हादी उन पर शांति हो की मुख्य दफ़नगाह और केंद्रीय हरम का अभिलेख है। बारह इमामी परंपरा में वे अहल अल-बैत के दसवें इमाम हैं। उनका निधन २५४ हिजरी में सामर्रा में हुआ और उन्हें अपने घर में दफ़न किया गया। बाद में उनके पुत्र इमाम हसन अल-अस्करी उन पर शांति हो को भी उनके पास दफ़न किया गया और यही घर हरम-ए-इमामैन अस्करियैन के रूप में विकसित हुआ। इसलिए यह प्रतीकात्मक मक़ाम नहीं, बल्कि ऐतिहासिक रूप से स्थापित मुख्य दफ़नगाह है।
इमाम अली अल-हादी उन पर शांति हो का जन्म मदीना के निकट हुआ। सबसे प्रसिद्ध तिथि २१२ हिजरी है, हालांकि कुछ प्राचीन विवरण वर्ष और दिन में भिन्न हैं। उनके पिता इमाम मुहम्मद अल-जवाद उन पर शांति हो और माता समाना अल-मग़रिबिय्या थीं, जिन्हें जीवनी-साहित्य में धर्मनिष्ठा और गरिमा के साथ याद किया गया है। २२० हिजरी में पिता के निधन के बाद उन्होंने कम आयु में ऐसे धार्मिक समुदाय का नेतृत्व संभाला जो कई अब्बासी प्रांतों में फैला था।
उनका जीवन शिक्षा और सावधान संगठन का मेल था। अब्दुल अज़ीम अल-हसनी, अबू हाशिम अल-जाफ़री, अय्यूब इब्न नूह, उस्मान इब्न सईद अल-अमरी और अन्य रावी तथा प्रतिनिधि उनके साथ जुड़े थे। प्रश्न पत्रों से पहुँचते, विश्वसनीय प्रतिनिधि निर्देश और धन पहुँचाते और राजनीतिक निगरानी के बावजूद दूरस्थ मंडल जुड़े रहते। इस व्यवस्था ने समुदाय को इमाम हसन अल-अस्करी उन पर शांति हो के अधिक प्रतिबंधित समय के लिए तैयार किया।
अब्बासी ख़लीफ़ा अल-मुतवक्किल ने तीसरी हिजरी सदी के मध्य में उन्हें मदीना से सामर्रा लाने का आदेश दिया। यह्या इब्न हरसमा को साथ भेजा गया। विवरण मदीना के लोगों की चिंता और यात्रा के दौरान सरकारी प्रतिनिधि पर इमाम के नैतिक प्रभाव का उल्लेख करते हैं। सामर्रा में वे सैनिक क्षेत्र में रहे और इसी कारण उनके परिवार के साथ अल-अस्करी संबोधन जुड़ा। अल-मुतवक्किल और उसके उत्तराधिकारियों के समय अलग-अलग स्तर की निगरानी जारी रही।
एक प्रसिद्ध ऐतिहासिक वर्णन में रात के समय उनके घर की तलाशी और अल-मुतवक्किल के सामने उनकी उपस्थिति का उल्लेख है। घर में षड्यंत्र के बजाय इबादत मिली। ख़लीफ़ा के कहने पर उन्होंने ऐसे पद पढ़े जिनमें शासकों को याद दिलाया गया कि मज़बूत महल, पहरेदार और सांसारिक पद मृत्यु तथा जवाबदेही से नहीं बचा सकते। बाद के इतिहास और धार्मिक साहित्य में सुरक्षित यह घटना उनकी नैतिक स्वतंत्रता का प्रमुख उदाहरण बन गई।
उनकी विद्वत विरासत आस्था, नैतिकता, फ़िक़्ह और दबाव के समय समुदाय के संचालन से जुड़े उत्तरों में दिखाई देती है। ज़ियारत अल-जामिआ अल-कबीरा इमामी धार्मिक साहित्य में उनसे विशेष रूप से संबद्ध है और अहल अल-बैत के सम्मान के लिए व्यापक भाषा देती है। उनके पत्र और प्रतिनिधि-व्यवस्था यह भी सिखाते हैं कि सार्वजनिक गतिविधि सीमित हो तो भी धार्मिक नेतृत्व ज़िम्मेदार, संगठित और बौद्धिक रूप से फलदायी रह सकता है।
उनका निधन रजब २५४ हिजरी में सामर्रा में हुआ। प्राचीन इतिहास और अल-इरशाद उनकी मृत्यु तथा घर में दफ़न को दर्ज करते हैं। इमामी परंपरा उनकी मृत्यु को ज़हर द्वारा शहादत के रूप में याद करती है, जबकि कई सामान्य इतिहास कारण का विवरण नहीं देते। निष्पक्ष प्रस्तुति में शहादत की सम्मानपूर्ण भाषा के साथ यह स्पष्ट होना चाहिए कि कारण की बारीकियाँ सभी स्रोतों में समान नहीं हैं। बड़ी जन-उपस्थिति और घर में दफ़न ने निजी निवास को स्थायी तीर्थ में बदल दिया।
सदियों में इमाम अली अल-हादी और इमाम हसन अल-अस्करी उन दोनों पर शांति हो की क़ब्रों के चारों ओर हरम बढ़ता गया। इसी परिसर में नर्जिस ख़ातून और हकीमा ख़ातून उन दोनों पर शांति हो से संबद्ध क़ब्रें भी हैं। विभिन्न कालों में संरक्षण, विस्तार और पुनर्निर्माण जारी रहा और हरम सामर्रा के सबसे बड़े धार्मिक चिन्हों तथा इराक़ की मुख्य ज़ियारत-यात्राओं में शामिल हो गया।
फ़रवरी २००६ में विस्फोट से सुनहरा गुंबद नष्ट हुआ और २००७ में मीनारों को निशाना बनाया गया। इन अपराधों ने एक महान इस्लामी स्मारक को क्षति पहुँचाई और इराक़ में हिंसा बढ़ाई। इराक़ी संस्थाओं, स्थानीय लोगों, धार्मिक नेतृत्व, अभियंताओं और अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग ने पुनर्निर्माण में भाग लिया। पुनर्स्थापित सुनहरा गुंबद २०१५ में फिर खोला गया और हरम प्राचीन उपासना-स्थल के साथ आधुनिक पुनरुत्थान का प्रतीक बन गया।
यात्री के लिए यह हरम जीवन-कथा, अब्बासी इतिहास, स्थापत्य, विनाश और पुनर्निर्माण को जोड़ता है। इमाम अल-हादी उन पर शांति हो का जीवन दबाव में धैर्य, ज्ञान, संगठित सेवा और राजनीतिक शक्ति के सामने नैतिक साहस सिखाता है। इमारत भी यह संदेश देती है कि पवित्र स्थान घायल हो सकता है, लेकिन सामूहिक देखभाल उसके रूप और सार्वजनिक स्मृति दोनों को पुनर्जीवित कर सकती है।
