الأهمية التاريخية / الدينية
للمزار أهمية في الجغرافيا الدينية المحلية للبصرة، لأنه يحفظ موضع زيارة قديم العهد في العشار ويربط الحي التجاري بذاكرة تعبدية. وتظهر أعمال الإعمار الحديثة استمرار رعاية المجتمع والمؤسسات للمكان.
