اس مقام کی زندہ اہمیت ابتدائی سوانح سے زیادہ واضح ہے۔ مقامی روایت تکیے کو قادری اجتماعات، درود، ذکرِ الٰہی، وعظ، مہمان نوازی اور اخلاقی رہنمائی کی جگہ قرار دیتی ہے۔ بہرز اور بعقوبہ کے باشندوں کے لیے یہ صرف یادگاری عمارت نہیں بلکہ مذہبی اجتماع اور سماجی تعلق کا مرکز ہے۔
شیخ ہاشم کو مقامی یاد میں قادری سلسلے سے وابستہ ایک عاجز روحانی رہنما کے طور پر پیش کیا جاتا ہے۔ عوامی مواد اس دینی شناخت اور تکیے سے ان کے تعلق کی تائید کرتا ہے۔ فوجی واقعات، قبولِ اسلام کی داستانیں، مکمل شجرۂ خاندان، تفصیلی سفر اور وفات کے درست حالات شامل نہیں کیے گئے، کیونکہ مضبوط آزاد تاریخی ذرائع سے ان کی تصدیق نہیں ہوئی۔
