Islamabad
Islamabad is Pakistan's modern planned capital on the Potohar Plateau. The Capital Development Authority records that its master plan was approved in 1960, although historic settlements and religious buildings existed across the territory before construction of the new capital.
This page distinguishes modern sectors from older localities across the wider territory. A shrine or burial is not authenticated merely because it lies within Islamabad's boundaries; each record requires its own historical and location evidence.
