Saidu Sharif

Saidu Sharif is an administrative and historic center of Swat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, close to Mingora. The provincial archaeology authority records that Swat Museum was established in 1958–59 and preserves the valley's multi-period history, including a major collection of Gandharan sculpture.

This page presents Islamic shrines and other historic sites with their distinct kinds of evidence. A local claim about a person's identity, burial or lineage is not automatically established by the general history of the museum or city.
