Wazirabad

Wazirabad is a historic commercial and industrial city in Punjab near the Chenab River and regional transport routes. Official district history notes that the site had limited prominence in earlier administrative records, while road and railway connections under colonial rule strengthened its markets and urban growth.

IslamicPedia does not equate the broad city name with one old settlement, cemetery or shrine. Each mosque, sacred site, person and map point is recorded with its period, present boundary and separate source so that historic Wazirabad is not confused with changing modern administrative labels.
