परिचय

हिल्ला का यह स्थान सैयद महदी अल-क़ज़वीनी अल-कबीर की क़ब्र नहीं है। यह शहर में उनकी लंबी इल्मी, ख़िताबी और सुधारक सेवा से जुड़ा यादगारी मक़ाम है। दिए गए निर्देशांक बाबिल प्रांत के हिल्ला में हैं, जबकि विश्वसनीय जीवनचरित उनकी दफ़न नजफ़ के क़ज़वीनी पारिवारिक क़ब्रिस्तान में बताते हैं। इसलिए इसे इल्मी स्मारक समझना चाहिए, दफ़नगाह नहीं।

हिल्ला से उनका संबंध ऐतिहासिक रूप से संभव और प्रमाणित है, क्योंकि शहर के विद्वानों और प्रमुख लोगों ने उन्हें वहीं रहकर शिक्षा, धार्मिक निर्णय, उपदेश और सामाजिक सुधार करने के लिए बुलाया था। लेकिन उपलब्ध स्रोत वर्तमान इमारत के संस्थापक या निर्माण तिथि नहीं बताते और किसी कमरे को उनका घर, नमाज़ का स्थान या अस्थायी निवास सिद्ध नहीं करते। यह शहर की स्मृति है, प्रमाणित घर या क़ब्र नहीं।

संक्षिप्त पहचान में वह हुसैनी सैयद, फ़क़ीह, ख़तीब और लेखक थे, जिनका जन्म १२२२ हिजरी में नजफ़ में हुआ और नसब ज़ैद इब्न अली इब्न अल-हुसैन तक पहुँचता है। नजफ़ की शिक्षा के बाद उन्होंने हिल्ला में पाठ और मंच को जोड़ा, ज़ियारत सहित कई विषयों पर लिखा और इल्मी परिवार तथा शिष्य छोड़े। यह परिचय केवल शहर से संबंध समझाने के लिए है।

१२ रबी अल-अव्वल १३०० हिजरी को हज से लौटते समय समावा के पास उनका निधन हुआ और शरीर नजफ़ के पारिवारिक क़ब्रिस्तान में दफ़न किया गया। यही स्पष्ट दफ़न रिवायत हिल्ला की प्रविष्टि को द्वितीयक बनाती है। पुराना नाम मज़ार हो तब भी इसे उनकी क़ब्र नहीं कहा गया है।

हिल्ला के लोगों के लिए यह उस आलिम की याद है जिसने शिक्षा, फ़तवा, हुसैनी मंच और सामाजिक सेवा दी। शोधकर्ता के लिए इसका महत्व भौगोलिक गलती सुधारने, नजफ़ की दफ़न और हिल्ला की स्मृति का अंतर बचाने तथा यह दिखाने में है कि क़ब्र के बिना भी शहर की सच्ची स्मृति ऐतिहासिक अर्थ रखती है।
