परिचय

ऐन अल-तम्र के अल-ख़सीफ़ क्षेत्र में स्थित मक़ाम अल-सबाया दफ़्नगाह नहीं है। यह करबला के बाद अहल अल-बैत के बंदी क़ाफ़िले से मंसूब ज़ियारती और स्मृति-स्थल है। यहाँ किसी एक व्यक्ति की क़ब्र का दावा नहीं किया जाता। स्थानीय परंपरा इसे इमाम ज़ैनुल आबिदीन अलैहिस्सलाम, हज़रत ज़ैनब अल-कुबरा सलामुल्लाह अलैहा और क़ाफ़िले की महिलाओं तथा बच्चों के ठहराव से जोड़ती है।

प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक स्रोत करबला से कूफ़ा और फिर दमिश्क तक जीवित अहल अल-बैत की यात्रा तथा बाद में मदीना की ओर वापसी की पुष्टि करते हैं। वे अल-ख़सीफ़ में निश्चित ठहराव या ऐन अल-तम्र के इसी स्थान से गुज़रने को स्पष्ट रूप से सिद्ध नहीं करते। यह संबद्धता मुख्यतः बाद की स्थानीय ज़ियारती स्मृति में सुरक्षित है।

स्थानीय विरासत की कथा बताती है कि दमिश्क से वापसी में क़ाफ़िला ऐन अल-तम्र के निकट रुका और करबला के शहीदों की क़ब्रों की ज़ियारत की इच्छा व्यक्त की। इस स्थानीय कथा में नुमान इब्न बशीर अल-अंसारी का नाम क़ाफ़िले के साथ आता है। यह विवरण क्षेत्रीय परंपरा के रूप में दर्ज है, निश्चित प्रारंभिक मार्ग-इतिहास के रूप में नहीं।
