تعارف
حضرت حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے جلیل القدر صحابی، رازدار، فتنوں کے شناسا راوی اور مدائن کے امیر تھے۔ ان کا اصل نسب حذیفہ بن حُسَیل یا حِسْل بن جابر عبسی بیان کیا جاتا ہے، جبکہ ان کے والد لقبِ یمان سے مشہور ہوئے۔ خاندان بنو عبس سے تعلق رکھتا تھا، مگر مدینہ میں بنو عبد الاشہل کا حلیف بن گیا، اسی وجہ سے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی زندگی میں مہاجر و انصار دونوں ماحول جمع ہوئے۔
حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ اور ان کے والد بدر کی طرف جاتے ہوئے قریش کے ہاتھوں روک لیے گئے اور ان سے عہد لیا گیا کہ وہ جنگ میں شریک نہیں ہوں گے۔ جب انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو صورتِ حال بتائی تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ عہد پورا کیا جائے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے مدد مانگی جائے۔ یہ واقعہ ان کی زندگی میں وفائے عہد کا پہلا نمایاں سبق ہے: دشمن سے کیا گیا عہد بھی اخلاقی ذمہ داری رہتا ہے۔
غزوۂ اُحد میں ان کے والد یمان رضی اللہ عنہ جنگ کے اضطراب میں مسلمانوں کے ہاتھوں غلطی سے شہید ہوگئے۔ حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے آواز دے کر انہیں بچانے کی کوشش کی، مگر ہجوم نہ رک سکا۔ انہوں نے قاتلوں کو معاف کیا اور زندگی بھر ان کے لیے مغفرت مانگتے رہے۔ یہ واقعہ ذاتی غم کے وقت بھی اجتماع کی بھلائی، معافی اور دل کی وسعت کی غیر معمولی مثال ہے۔
غزوۂ خندق کی سخت سرد اور اندھیری رات میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں دشمن کے لشکر کی خبر لانے کے لیے بھیجا۔ وہ خیموں کے درمیان پہنچے، ابو سفیان کی مجلس دیکھی اور ایسا موقع پایا کہ اسے نشانہ بنا سکتے تھے، مگر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حکم سے تجاوز نہ کیا اور صرف خبر لے کر واپس آئے۔ یہ واقعہ بہادری کے ساتھ نظم، ضبط اور حکم کی پابندی کا سبق دیتا ہے۔
حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو صاحبِ سرِ رسول اللہ کہا گیا، کیونکہ منافقین سے متعلق حساس معلومات انہیں سپرد کی گئی تھیں۔ انہوں نے یہ امانت ظاہر نہ کی۔ وہ خیر سے زیادہ شر اور فتنوں کے بارے میں سوال کرتے تھے تاکہ ان سے بچ سکیں۔ صحیح احادیث میں ان کی روایات امت کے اندرونی بحران، دلوں کی کیفیت، حکمرانوں کے فتنے اور نیکی و برائی کے ادوار کو سمجھنے کا بنیادی سرمایہ ہیں۔
خلافتِ راشدہ میں انہوں نے عراق، فارس، آرمینیہ اور آذربائیجان کی مہمات میں حصہ لیا۔ مختلف علاقوں کے مسلمانوں کی قراءت میں اختلاف دیکھ کر انہوں نے حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کو خبردار کیا کہ امت کتابِ الٰہی میں اختلاف کا شکار نہ ہو۔ اسی پس منظر میں مصاحف کی معیاری نقول تیار کرکے اسلامی علاقوں میں بھیجی گئیں۔ اس خدمت نے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو قرآن کے تحریری اتحاد کی تاریخ سے بھی جوڑ دیا۔
وہ مدائن کے امیر مقرر ہوئے، مگر سادگی، احتساب اور زہد کے ساتھ زندگی گزاری۔ ان کی علمی بصیرت صرف غیبی فتنوں کی فہرست نہیں تھی؛ وہ انسان کو اپنے گھر، مال، ہمسایوں اور اقتدار میں پیدا ہونے والی اخلاقی آزمائشوں سے خبردار کرتے تھے۔ ان کی وفات ۳۶ھ میں مدائن میں ہوئی، حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کی شہادت کے کچھ عرصے بعد۔
