تعارف

بغداد کے کرخ حصے میں مقبرہ شیخ معروف کے اندر واقع یہ مسجد سے وابستہ زیارتی مقام حضرت یوشع بن نون علیہ السلام سے منسوب ہے۔ عراقی مقامی روایت اسے ان کی قبر کہتی ہے، مگر اسلامی اور یہودی جغرافیہ میں یوشع یا جوشوا سے منسوب دوسرے مقامات بھی موجود ہیں۔ اس لیے بغداد کی نسبت کو ایک محترم مقامی روایت کے طور پر پیش کیا گیا ہے، نہ کہ ایسا قطعی مدفن جس کے مقابل کوئی دوسری روایت نہ ہو۔

مقام پر مسجد کے ساتھ ایک چھوٹا گنبد دار حجرہ موجود بتایا جاتا ہے۔ بعد کی مقامی تحریروں میں سنہ انیس سو سڑسٹھ کی ایک کمیٹی کا ذکر ملتا ہے جس نے قبر کی شناخت کی اور اس کے بعد مقام زیادہ نمایاں ہوا۔ اس کمیٹی کی اصل سرکاری کارروائی یا ابتدائی دستاویز دستیاب نہیں ہوئی، اس لیے اس واقعے کو جدید مقامی روایت کہا گیا ہے۔ یہ موجودہ نسبت کی تاریخ سمجھاتا ہے، مگر قدیم تدفین کو ثابت نہیں کرتا۔

صحیح بخاری میں حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے نوجوان ساتھی کی شناخت یوشع بن نون کے طور پر محفوظ ہے۔ صحیح بخاری اور صحیح مسلم میں سورج روک دیے جانے کا واقعہ ایک نبی کے بارے میں آتا ہے، مگر اس روایت کے متن میں اس نبی کا نام نہیں۔ مسند احمد کی ایک متعلقہ روایت یوشع کا نام صراحت سے بیان کرتی ہے، تاہم محدثین نے اس کی سند پر گفتگو کی ہے۔ یہ مواد شخصیت کی دینی شناخت کو تقویت دیتا ہے، بغداد کی قبر کو نہیں۔
