التعريف

كان مقام العباس بن علي عليه السلام في منطقة شلالات الموصل ليس مدفنه، وإنما موضعا زياراتيا ثانويا مرتبطا بذاكرة كربلاء ووفائه. أما مدفنه الرئيسي المعروف ففي روضة العباس بكربلاء قرب مجرى العلقمي.

استخدم الشبك وغيرهم من المجتمعات المحلية في شمال العراق المكان لمجالس المحرم وعاشوراء والنذور ومحبة أهل البيت. ولم تعتمد نسبته على دعوى زيارة تاريخية أو دفن، بل مثلت ذكر حمل العباس للواء ووفائه وخدمته للعطاشى وتضحيته إلى جانب الإمام الحسين.

العباس هو ابن الإمام علي والسيدة أم البنين فاطمة بنت حزام سلام الله عليها. حمل لواء الإمام الحسين في كربلاء، ورفض الأمان الذي عرضه المعسكر المقابل، واستشهد في مهمة ارتبطت بمحاولة جلب الماء. ويبين هذا التعريف المختصر الثابت المعنى الأخلاقي للمقام في الموصل.

تذكر التقارير المتعلقة بالتراث الديني في نينوى أن مقام العباس في منطقة الشلالات دمره تنظيم داعش سنة ٢٠١٤. وفي الفترة نفسها تعرضت مزارات إسلامية ومسيحية وإيزيدية وشبكية وغيرها لتدمير منظم. ولذلك كان هدم البناء اعتداء على الذاكرة المحلية والتنوع الديني والمشهد الاجتماعي السابق للحرب.

الأهمية التاريخية / الدينية

لم يكن مقام الموصل قبر العباس عليه السلام، بل كان مركزا إقليميا لذاكرة كربلاء الأخلاقية ومحبة أهل البيت في شمال العراق. ويحفظ هذا الفرق دور الروضة الرئيسية في كربلاء ودور الذكرى في الموصل.

شكل تدميره سنة ٢٠١٤ جزءا من الضرر الواسع الذي أصاب التنوع الديني في نينوى والذاكرة الثقافية للشبك. وتعد وثائق الموقع ضرورية لاستعادة الأماكن المقدسة والهويات المحلية المتضررة من الحرب.
