परिचय

दियाला की हमरीन झील के पास यह स्थान पैग़म्बर इस्माईल की क़ब्र नहीं है। यह उनके नाम से जुड़ा स्थानीय यादगारी और ज़ियारती मक़ाम है। निर्देशांक अस-सादिय्या से प्रशासित झील क्षेत्र में हैं। इस्माईल की ज़िंदगी, ज़मज़म, क़ुर्बानी और काबा निर्माण की मान्य धार्मिक भूमि हिजाज़ और मक्का है, इसलिए हमरीन को मूल स्थान या दफ़नगाह नहीं कहा जा सकता।

एक इराक़ी रिपोर्ट इसे स्थानीय लोगों में प्रसिद्ध पुराना मक़ाम बताती है, लेकिन संबंध की शुरुआत, संस्थापक, पैग़म्बरी यात्रा, नमाज़, ठहराव, निशानी या शारीरिक दफ़न का प्रारंभिक प्रमाण नहीं देती। संबंध प्रतीकात्मक स्मृति का है। दो हज़ार सात में अल-क़ायदा ने इमारत नष्ट की और लोगों ने दान से पुनर्निर्माण किया; यह आधुनिक लगाव सिद्ध करता है, प्राचीन क़ब्र नहीं।

इस द्वितीयक स्थान के लिए संक्षिप्त परिचय पर्याप्त है: इस्माईल पैग़म्बर इब्राहीम और हाजरा के पुत्र थे। क़ुरआन क़ुर्बानी के प्रसंग में पिता और पुत्र की आज्ञाकारिता और धैर्य बताता है, और तफ़सीर की बड़ी परंपरा पुत्र को इस्माईल मानती है। बाद में इब्राहीम और इस्माईल ने काबा की नींव उठाई।
