تعارف

حضرت سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ کا مزار عراق کے شہر سلمان پاک میں، تاریخی مدائن کے علاقے میں واقع ہے۔ یہ مقام ان کے معروف مدفن اور مرکزی زیارتی مقام کے طور پر پہچانا جاتا ہے۔ حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ کی زندگی اسلامی تاریخ میں اس لیے منفرد ہے کہ انہوں نے موروثی مذہبی ماحول، وطن، آسائش اور آزادی تک کو حق کی تلاش پر قربان کر دیا۔ ابتدائی روایات انہیں فارس کے ایک دہقان یا بااثر مجوسی گھرانے سے وابستہ کرتی ہیں، مگر جائے پیدائش اور والد کے نام کی تفصیلات میں اختلاف ہے؛ بعض روایات اصفہان کے قریب جَی اور بعض رامہرمز کا ذکر کرتی ہیں۔ ان کا قبل از اسلام نام روزبہ بھی نقل ہوا ہے، جبکہ اسلام کے بعد وہ سلمان الخیر اور سلمان محمدی جیسے احترام آمیز القاب سے یاد کیے گئے۔

ان کی تلاشِ حق کا طویل سفر سیرت کی سب سے مؤثر داستانوں میں سے ہے۔ روایات کے مطابق انہوں نے اپنے گھر کے مجوسی مذہب سے اطمینان نہ پایا، ایک مسیحی عبادت گاہ سے متاثر ہوئے، پھر شام کے اہلِ دین تک پہنچنے کے لیے گھر چھوڑ دیا۔ وہ ایک راہب سے دوسرے راہب تک علم اور راست بازی کی نشانیاں تلاش کرتے رہے۔ شام، موصل، نصیبین اور عموریہ کے مراحل کے بعد ایک نیک راہب نے انہیں آخری نبی کے ظہور، کھجوروں والی بستی، صدقہ نہ کھانے، ہدیہ قبول کرنے اور مہرِ نبوت کی علامات بتائیں۔ عرب کی طرف سفر میں قافلے والوں نے بدعہدی کرکے انہیں غلام بنا کر فروخت کر دیا، لیکن غلامی بھی ان کی جستجو کو ختم نہ کر سکی۔

یثرب پہنچنے کے بعد حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بارے میں سنی ہوئی علامات کو ایک ایک کرکے جانچا۔ انہوں نے صدقے کا کھانا پیش کیا تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خود نہ کھایا، پھر ہدیہ پیش کیا تو قبول فرمایا، اور مناسب موقع پر مہرِ نبوت دیکھی۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے اسلام قبول کیا۔ غلامی کی وجہ سے وہ بدر اور احد میں شریک نہ ہو سکے۔ آزادی کے معاہدے کی تکمیل میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور صحابہ کرام نے ان کی مدد کی؛ کھجور کے پودے لگانے اور مالی ادائیگی کی روایات اس بات کی مثال ہیں کہ اسلامی جماعت نے ایک سچے طالبِ حق کو عملی طور پر آزادی دلائی۔

غزوۂ خندق میں ان کی بصیرت نے مدینہ کے دفاع میں فیصلہ کن کردار ادا کیا۔ عرب میں کھلے میدان کی جنگ معروف تھی، لیکن حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے فارسی دفاعی تجربے سے خندق کھودنے کی تجویز دی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس رائے کو قبول فرمایا، صحابہ نے سخت سردی، بھوک اور محاصرے کے باوجود خندق کھودی، اور احزاب کا لشکر مدینہ میں براہِ راست داخل نہ ہو سکا۔ یہ واقعہ دکھاتا ہے کہ اسلام مفید تجربے کو اس کے قومی ماخذ کی وجہ سے رد نہیں کرتا؛ سچی حکمت جہاں سے ملے، اجتماعی خیر کے لیے قبول کی جا سکتی ہے۔

حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ کی زندگی صرف سفر اور جنگ تک محدود نہیں تھی۔ صحیح بخاری میں حضرت ابو درداء رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ ان کے اخوت کے واقعے میں وہ عبادت، جسم، اہلِ خانہ اور مہمان کے حقوق کے درمیان توازن کی تعلیم دیتے ہیں، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی بات کی تصدیق فرمائی۔ اسی طرح صحیح مسلم کی روایت میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوئے فارسی لوگوں کی علمی و ایمانی صلاحیت کی تعریف فرمائی۔ فضائل کی روایت میں مشہور جملہ سلمان منا اہل البیت بھی نقل ہوا ہے۔ اہلِ علم نے اس کی اسانید پر گفتگو کی ہے، لیکن سنی اور شیعی دونوں یادداشتوں میں اس نسبت کو نسبی رشتہ نہیں بلکہ ایمان، وفا، علم، قرب اور اہلِ بیت سے محبت کے بلند درجے کے طور پر سمجھا گیا۔

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات کے بعد حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ علم، زہد اور خدمت کے ساتھ وابستہ رہے۔ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے عہد میں مدائن کی ذمہ داری ان کے سپرد ہونے کی روایات مشہور ہیں۔ بڑے منصب کے باوجود ان کی سادہ زندگی، اپنے ہاتھ سے محنت، معمولی لباس اور عطیے کو ضرورت مندوں پر خرچ کرنے کے واقعات کتبِ تراجم میں محفوظ ہیں۔ ان کا طرزِ حکومت یہ سبق دیتا ہے کہ اختیار کا مقصد ذاتی شان بڑھانا نہیں بلکہ لوگوں کی خدمت، عدل اور جواب دہی ہے۔ فارس کی تہذیبی یاد، مدینہ کی نبوی تربیت اور عراق کی شہری خدمت ان کی شخصیت میں ایک دوسرے سے ملتی ہیں۔
