حضرت عبداللہ بن جابر انصاری بیاضی رضی اللہ عنہ کا مزار مدائن کے سلمان پاک میں حضرت سلمان فارسی رضی اللہ عنہ کے مزار کے احاطے میں واقع ہے۔ حدیثی مآخذ عبداللہ بن جابر کو ایک انصاری صحابی کے طور پر شناخت کرتے ہیں، جبکہ جدید عراقی روایات موجودہ قبر کو ۱۹۳۲ء میں دجلہ کے کنارے موجود پرانی تدفین سے باقیات کی منتقلی کے ساتھ جوڑتی ہیں۔ انہیں مشہور صحابی جابر بن عبداللہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ خلط نہیں کرنا چاہیے؛ ناموں کی ترتیب دو الگ شخصیات کی شناخت ہے۔

ایک یادگار روایت میں عبداللہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور اس وقت سلام کیا جب آپ طبعی حاجت سے فارغ ہوئے تھے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے طہارت کے بعد ان کے سلام کا جواب دیا اور پھر قرآن کی سب سے عظیم سورت کے بارے میں تعلیم دی، جسے روایت میں سورۂ فاتحہ قرار دیا گیا ہے۔ یہ واقعہ باہمی ادب، طہارت اور قرآنی تعلیم کو ایک ساتھ جمع کرتا ہے اور عبداللہ بن جابر سے متعلق محفوظ سوانحی واقعات میں سب سے نمایاں ہے۔
ابتدائی مآخذ ان کی جنگوں، مناصب یا خاندان کی طویل تفصیل نہیں دیتے، اس لیے ایسی باتیں ایجاد نہیں کی گئیں۔ ان کی مضبوط تاریخی شناخت صحابی ہونے، انصاری و بیاضی نسبت اور ان کے نام سے مروی حدیث میں ہے۔ یہ محدود مگر حقیقی تعارف ان واقعات کو شامل کرنے سے زیادہ معتبر ہے جو دراصل جابر بن عبداللہ یا دوسرے انصاری صحابہ سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں۔
