Modern Iraqi reporting identifies his grave in the Salman al-Farsi complex and preserves the 1932 transfer tradition from the Tigris bank in Al-Mada'in, together with Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman. The transfer details are presented as modern Iraqi historical memory, not as an early burial document. The earlier claim that companion dictionaries did not securely establish the person was corrected; the warning against confusing him with Jabir ibn Abdullah remains.
