Notes: Article role: SECONDARY ATTRIBUTED PLACE. The Qur'an establishes Luqman's wisdom and counsel but does not identify his burial place. Tafsir and biographical traditions differ over his origin, occupation and whether he was a prophet or a righteous sage. Yaqut al-Hamawi and later summaries preserve several competing burial attributions outside Baghdad. Local Iraqi reporting supports the existence and public identity of the al-Husseiniya shrine, but not its certainty as Luqman's grave. The row therefore remains Level C and the site is described as a locally attributed tomb. | Page/Volume: vol. 6, tafsir of 31:12-19; pagination varies by edition | Article role: SECONDARY ATTRIBUTED PLACE.
