Sahih al-Bukhari preserves several authentic reports about the date-palm trunk beside which the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to deliver the Friday sermon before a pulpit was made. When he moved to the new pulpit, the Companions heard the trunk cry and moan. The Prophet ﷺ came down, embraced it or placed his hand upon it, and it became calm. He explained that it had been crying because it missed the remembrance and religious teaching it used to hear near him.

After Jabir ibn Abdullah’s father was martyred at Uhud, he left six daughters and a heavy debt. The date harvest looked far too small to repay the creditors, even over several years. Jabir turned to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who came to the date garden, walked around the heaps or palms in the various sahih routes, and invoked Allah to bless the fruit. The creditors were then paid in full, yet a remarkable quantity of dates still remained. Al-Bukhari records the event in his chapter on the signs of Prophethood.

A strongly supported classical report describes a striking exchange after the Battle of Badr. Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib was required to pay ransom and said that he did not have the necessary money. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then asked about money al-Abbas had secretly set aside with Umm al-Fadl before leaving Mecca, including the private instruction that it should go to his sons if something happened to him. Al-Abbas replied that no one except himself and Umm al-Fadl knew that matter and took the disclosure as confirmation of the Prophet’s truth.

An authentic hadith from ‘Uthman ibn Hunaif tells of a blind man who came to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and asked him to pray to Allah for healing. The Prophet first offered him the better path of patience, but when the man chose supplication, he taught him to make complete ablution and recite a specific prayer; Ibn Majah’s sahih route also mentions two rak‘ahs. A fuller early route preserved by al-Hakim records that after making the taught supplication, the man stood with his sight restored.

Sunan Abi Dawud preserves a moving report from Abdullah ibn Ja‘far: the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered the garden of an Ansari and a camel, on seeing him, began to moan with yearning and tears flowed from its eyes. The Prophet approached it gently and stroked the area beside its head until it became calm. He then called for its owner and told the young Ansari that the camel had complained of being kept hungry and exhausted by continual work, reminding him to fear Allah regarding the animal placed in his care.

Sahih al-Bukhari preserves Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud’s striking testimony that the Companions heard food glorifying Allah while it was being eaten in the presence of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Ibn Mas‘ud introduces such extraordinary signs by saying that the Companions regarded them as blessings from Allah. The Qur’an gives the wider theological frame in al-Isra 17:44: everything in creation glorifies Allah with praise, even though people do not ordinarily comprehend that glorification.

Sahih Muslim preserves one of the most intimate pre-prophetic signs connected with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said that he knew a stone in Mecca which used to greet him before he was commissioned as a prophet, and that even later he still recognized that same stone. Al-Nawawi explicitly calls the report a prophetic miracle and explains that Allah can grant a fitting form of perception to created things normally regarded as inanimate. Parallel versions are also preserved by al-Tirmidhi, Ahmad and al-Darimi.

Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim preserve a vivid account of drought in Medina during a Friday sermon. A man stood before the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and described livestock dying, families suffering and roads becoming unusable, then asked him to pray for rain. The Prophet ﷺ raised his hands and repeatedly supplicated to Allah. The sky was completely clear, then a cloud appeared from behind Mount Sila‘, spread across the sky and rain began so quickly that Anas saw water running down the Prophet’s beard before he descended from the pulpit.

Sahih al-Bukhari preserves a detailed account of Suraqa ibn Malik pursuing the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu Bakr during the Hijrah after Quraysh announced a large reward for their capture. As Suraqa drew near, his horse first stumbled and later its forelegs sank into the ground up to the knees. A parallel sahih report explicitly connects the sinking to the Prophet’s supplication. Suraqa then asked the Prophet ﷺ to pray for his release, promised not to harm them, and eventually requested a written statement of security.

Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim preserve a remarkable continuation of the Medina rain episode. After a week of heavy rain, people returned during the next Friday sermon because roads were cut off, livestock were suffering, and in a parallel sahih report houses had begun to collapse. The Prophet ﷺ did not ask for the blessing of rain to disappear; he prayed that it fall around Medina rather than upon it. The clouds then cleared over the city while the surrounding hills, valleys and countryside continued receiving rain.

After Khaybar, a poisoned roasted sheep was presented to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The poisoning itself is firmly established in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. Sunan Abi Dawud 4512 preserves the extraordinary center of the story: after the Prophet and others had begun eating, he ordered everyone to remove their hands because the sheep had informed him that it was poisoned. The plot was then exposed, and the woman responsible acknowledged her intent. A separate route specifies the foreleg as the informer, but that wording has differing hadith gradings.

Multiple sahih reports in al-Bukhari and Muslim preserve the Khaybar episode in remarkable detail. Ali ibn Abi Talib was suffering from severe eye trouble, yet he rejoined the Prophet’s force rather than remain behind. The Prophet announced that the standard would be given to a man who loved Allah and His Messenger and was loved by them; when Ali was brought, the Prophet applied his saliva to his eyes and prayed for him, and Ali was immediately healed as though he had never been ill.
