The site is a real historic mosque, school and collective shrine in Tikrit, not the grave of one identified person. Architectural research supports a late fifth-century AH or eleventh-century school-and-shrine complex. Modern reporting preserves the local attribution to forty early Muslim martyrs or Companions, particularly the names Amr ibn Jundab al-Ghifari and Abd Allah ibn al-Mu'tam, but no complete independently verified list of forty persons was established. Reports that combine the year 11 AH with the caliphate of Umar are chronologically inconsistent; the article therefore uses the cautious phrase early conquest tradition and does not repeat that date as fact. The 2014 destruction and the documented 55 percent reconstruction progress reported in June 2024 are supported by Iraqi reporting. | Article role: SECONDARY COLLECTIVE ATTRIBUTED PLACE / IDENTITIES UNDER REVIEW.
