التعريف
هذا هو السجل الرئيس لدفن الإمام علي بن محمد الهادي عليه السلام ومرقده، وهو الإمام العاشر من أئمة أهل البيت في التقليد الإمامي الاثني عشري. توفي في سامراء سنة ٢٥٤هـ ودفن في داره، ثم دفن ابنه الإمام الحسن العسكري عليه السلام إلى جواره، وتحولت الدار إلى المشهد المعروف بمرقد العسكريين. فالموضع مدفن مركزي ثابت تاريخياً، وليس مقاماً رمزياً.
ولد الإمام علي الهادي عليه السلام في ناحية المدينة، والمشهور أن ذلك كان سنة ٢١٢هـ، مع اختلاف بعض الأخبار القديمة في السنة واليوم. أبوه الإمام محمد الجواد عليه السلام، وأمه سمانة المغربية التي تذكرها كتب السير بالصلاح والوقار. وبعد وفاة أبيه سنة ٢٢٠هـ تولى وهو شاب مسؤولية دينية لجماعة منتشرة في عدد من أقاليم الدولة العباسية.
جمعت حياته بين التعليم والتنظيم الدقيق. ومن أصحابه عبد العظيم الحسني وأبو هاشم الجعفري وأيوب بن نوح وعثمان بن سعيد العمري وجماعة من الرواة والوكلاء. كانت الأسئلة تصل بالرسائل، وينقل الوكلاء الموثوقون التعليمات والأموال، وتبقى الحلقات البعيدة متصلة على الرغم من الرقابة السياسية. وأسهم هذا النظام في تهيئة الجماعة للمرحلة الأشد تقييداً في زمن الإمام الحسن العسكري عليه السلام.
أمر الخليفة العباسي المتوكل بنقله من المدينة إلى سامراء في منتصف القرن الثالث الهجري، وأرسل يحيى بن هرثمة لمرافقته. وتذكر الروايات قلق أهل المدينة وما تركه الإمام من احترام في نفس المبعوث أثناء الطريق. وفي سامراء أقام في الحي العسكري، ومنه اتصل لقب العسكري بأهل هذا البيت، وظل تحت درجات مختلفة من المراقبة في عهود المتوكل ومن جاء بعده.
وتحفظ رواية تاريخية مشهورة تفتيش داره ليلاً وإحضاره إلى المتوكل. فلم يجدوا مؤامرة بل وجدوه مشتغلاً بالعبادة. ولما طلب منه الخليفة الإنشاد، أنشد أبياتاً تذكر الملوك بأن القصور والحراس والمرتبة الدنيوية لا تمنع الموت والحساب. وقد حفظت كتب التاريخ والفضائل المتأخرة هذه الرواية، وصارت مثالاً على استقلاله الأخلاقي.
ويظهر أثره العلمي في الأجوبة المنقولة عنه في العقيدة والأخلاق والفقه وتدبير الجماعة في زمن الضغط. وترتبط به الزيارة الجامعة الكبيرة ارتباطاً بارزاً في الأدب الإمامي، وهي تقدم لغة جامعة في احترام أهل البيت. كما تبين رسائله ونظام وكلائه أن القيادة الدينية تستطيع أن تبقى منظمة ومسؤولة ومثمرة علمياً حين تضيق مساحة النشاط العلني.
توفي في سامراء في رجب سنة ٢٥٤هـ. وتثبت الأخبار القديمة وكتاب الإرشاد الوفاة والدفن في داره. وتذكره الذاكرة الإمامية شهيداً بالسم، بينما تسكت جملة من التواريخ العامة عن تحديد السبب. ومن الإنصاف حفظ لفظ الشهادة باحترام مع بيان أن تفاصيل السبب ليست واحدة في جميع المصادر. وقد أسهم اجتماع الناس في جنازته ودفنه في البيت في تحول الدار الخاصة إلى مشهد دائم.
نما المرقد عبر القرون حول قبري الإمام علي الهادي والإمام الحسن العسكري عليهما السلام. ويضم المجمع أيضاً قبوراً منسوبة إلى السيدة نرجس والسيدة حكيمة سلام الله عليهما. وتعاقبت أعمال الرعاية والتوسعة والإعمار في عصور مختلفة، حتى صار المرقد من أهم معالم سامراء الدينية ومن المقاصد الكبرى في جغرافية الزيارة بالعراق.
في شباط سنة ٢٠٠٦ دمرت القبة الذهبية بتفجير، ثم استهدفت المآذن سنة ٢٠٠٧. وقد أضرت هذه الجرائم بمعلم إسلامي كبير وزادت العنف في العراق. شاركت المؤسسات العراقية وأهالي سامراء والمرجعيات والمهندسون وجهات دولية في الإعمار. وأعيد افتتاح القبة الذهبية بعد ترميمها سنة ٢٠١٥، فأصبح المرقد رمزاً حديثاً للتعافي إلى جانب مكانته القديمة في العبادة.
يجمع المرقد للزائر بين السيرة والتاريخ العباسي والعمارة والفقد والإعمار. وتعلم حياة الإمام الهادي عليه السلام الصبر من غير خضوع، والعلم تحت الضغط، والتنظيم المسؤول، والشجاعة الأخلاقية أمام السلطة. وتعلم العمارة نفسها أن المكان المقدس قد يجرح، لكن الرعاية الجماعية تستطيع أن تعيد بناء صورته ودوره في الذاكرة العامة.

الأهمية التاريخية / الدينية
يعد المرقد من أهم مواقع أهل البيت في العراق، لأنه يحفظ دار الإمامين العاشر والحادي عشر وقبريهما. وهو يفسر كيف صارت سامراء، بعد أن كانت عاصمة عباسية عسكرية وسلطانية، مدينة كبرى للزيارة والذاكرة العائلية أيضاً.
ويوثق الموقع تاريخياً العلاقة بين السلطة الدينية والدولة العباسية. فالنقل القسري للإمام الهادي عليه السلام، والرقابة عليه، وشبكة الرسائل والوكلاء، وجنازته ودفنه في البيت، كلها من التاريخ السياسي لسامراء في القرن الثالث الهجري.
أما من جهة العمارة، فالمرقد ثمرة قرون من الرعاية والتوسعة والإعمار. وقد شكل قبرا الإمامين مع القبرين المنسوبين إلى نرجس وحكيمة سلام الله عليهما النواة المقدسة التي نما حولها المجمع والمدينة المحيطة.
وأعطى تخريب سنتي ٢٠٠٦ و٢٠٠٧ ثم الإعمار اللاحق للموقع معنى وطنياً حديثاً. فترميمه يمثل حماية التراث الديني، وصمود أهل سامراء، وإمكان إعادة بناء الذاكرة العامة بعد العنف الطائفي.
