معرفی

آرامگاه کنونی منسوب به ابراهیم بن مالک اشتر نخعی، رحمت خدا بر او باد، در جنوب دجیل از استان صلاح‌الدین قرار دارد. منابع کلاسیک شخصیت او، پیروزی در نبرد خازر و کشته شدن در لشکرکشی مسکن را به‌خوبی ثبت کرده‌اند، اما تطبیق دقیق بنای امروزی با قبر نخستین بر سنت زیارتی منطقه‌ای استوار است. زندگی‌نامه نیرومند و انتساب قبر کنونی در سطح پژوهش «ب» است.

نام او ابراهیم بن مالک اشتر بن حارث نخعی بود و به بنی نخع، شاخه‌ای مهم از مذحج، تعلق داشت. پدرش مالک اشتر نخعی، رحمت خدا بر او باد، از برجسته‌ترین یاران و فرماندهان امام علی بن ابی طالب، خدا از او خشنود باشد، بود. ابراهیم از این خانواده جایگاه قبیله‌ای، تجربه نظامی، شناخت سیاست عراق و علاقه به جریان علوی را به ارث برد.

او شخصیتی سیاسی و نظامی از روزگار تابعین به شمار می‌رود. سال دقیق تولدش معلوم نیست، ولی زندگی او از آثار خلافت راشدین، سیاست کوفه پس از امام علی، شوک کربلا و فشار امویان بر عراق تأثیر پذیرفت. شهرتش بیش از روایت علمی، در فرماندهی، تدبیر جنگ و سازمان‌دهی قبایل بود.

ابراهیم فرمانده اصلی جنبش مختار ثقفی شد. کوفه میان قبایل عرب، موالی، اشراف و گروه‌های مخالف اموی تقسیم شده بود. اهمیت او تنها در شجاعت نبود؛ وارث خاندان شناخته‌شده نخعی، صاحب نفوذ قبیله‌ای و فرماندهی بود که هم جامعه کوفه و هم قدرت نظامی سپاه شام را می‌شناخت.

نبرد خازر مهم‌ترین رویداد زندگی او بود. در پایان سال ۶۶ هجری برای مقابله با سپاه عبیدالله بن زیاد از کوفه بیرون رفت و در سال ۶۷ هجری نبرد تعیین‌کننده کنار رود خازر در شرق موصل رخ داد. گزارش‌ها از شکست سخت سپاه اموی و کشته شدن عبیدالله بن زیاد، حصین بن نمیر و چند فرمانده بزرگ شامی سخن می‌گویند. این پیروزی سیاست عراق پس از کربلا را دگرگون کرد.

پس از خازر، ابراهیم در موصل و پیرامون آن نفوذ داشت. هنگامی که مصعب بن زبیر حکومت مختار را پایان داد، ابراهیم با نظم سیاسی تازه‌ای روبه‌رو شد. عبدالملک بن مروان کوشید فرماندهان عراقی را جذب کند، اما بنا بر گزارش‌ها ابراهیم پیشنهاد اموی را نپذیرفت و با مصعب ماند.

حدود سال ۷۱ یا ۷۲ هجری، سپاه مصعب و عبدالملک در مسکن یا دیرالجاثلیق روبه‌رو شدند. ابراهیم نامه‌ای را که برای جلب او فرستاده شده بود به مصعب نشان داد و درباره نامه‌های مشابه به دیگر سران هشدار داد. او شجاعانه جنگید، ولی ضعف صفوف عراق و تغییر وفاداری‌ها به کشته شدنش انجامید.
