آرامگاه و مسجد شیخ فتح موصلی، رحمت خدا بر او باد، یکی از مکانهای مهم در نقشه دینی موصل است. او با نام فتح موصلی نیز شناخته میشود و اطلاعات تاریخی موجود وی را در شمار زاهدان، عابدان، واعظان و راویان حدیث سده سوم هجری قرار میدهد.
نام او در برخی منابع ابومحمد فتح بن سعید کاری موصلی آمده است. به سبب پیوندش با شهر موصل، موصلی خوانده شد و نسبت کاری را به ناحیهای در همان شهر مربوط دانستهاند. موصل در روزگار او شهری مهم میان عراق و شام بود و با دانش، تجارت، زندگی قبیلهای و آموزش دینی ارتباط داشت.
شیخ فتح موصلی به دوره نخستین زهد و تربیت معنوی تعلق داشت؛ دورهای که صالحان بر کم کردن دلبستگی به دنیا، پاکسازی دل، روزی حلال، عبادت شبانه و مهربانی با مردم تأکید میکردند. یاد او همچنین با محیط زاهدان آغازین، از جمله بشر حافی، رحمت خدا بر او باد، پیوند یافته است.
یکی از ویژگیهای آموزشی مهم در یاد او این است که تنها به عنوان عابدی گوشهنشین شناخته نشد. او با وعظ، اصلاح اخلاقی و مجالس دانش نیز ارتباط داشت. مجلس او برای مردم موصل جایگاه نصیحت، ترس از خدا، امید و بیداری اخلاقی بود. همین امر توضیح میدهد که چرا مدفنش بخشی از هویت دینی شهر شد.
تاریخ خود زیارتگاه نیز شایسته توجه است. گزارشهای تاریخی جدید وفات او را حدود سال ۲۲۰ هجری، برابر با ۸۳۵ میلادی، دانستهاند و ازاینرو آرامگاهش در شمار مکانهای دینی کهن موصل قرار میگیرد. در دورههای بعد بنا تعمیر و گسترش یافت و در کنار زیارتگاه، کارکرد مسجد نیز شکل گرفت.
ساختمان چند لایه را در خود جمع میکرد: بخش پایین و کهنتر، اتاق قبر، گنبد، محراب، ستونها و افزودههای معماری دورههای بعد. بنابراین مکان تنها یک قبر نبود، بلکه بخشی از تاریخ معماری، عمل عبادی و حافظه شهری موصل نیز به شمار میرفت.
در سال ۲۰۱۴ و هنگام تسلط افراطگرایان بر موصل، این مکان مانند بسیاری از زیارتگاههای تاریخی شهر به شدت آسیب دید. ویرانی آرامگاه و مسجد تنها نابودی یک ساختمان نبود، بلکه به حافظه دینیِ حفظشده طی سدهها صدمه زد. مکان بعدا بازسازی شد و شکل نوسازیشده آن حدود سال ۲۰۲۲ پدیدار گردید.
این ویرانی و بازسازی، زیارتگاه را با احیای فرهنگی عراق معاصر پیوند میدهد. زائر امروز نه تنها با قبر یک زاهد روبهرو میشود، بلکه با یاد شهری مواجه است که جنگ، فقدان، آوارگی، بازگشت و بازسازی را تجربه کرده است.
یاد شیخ فتح موصلی میآموزد که شهرها تنها با دیوارها زنده نمیمانند، بلکه با یاد کسانی زندهاند که دلها را به سوی خدا متوجه کردند. آرامگاه او برای موصل نماد عبادت، وعظ، زهد و پایداری فرهنگی است.
برای پژوهشگران، مکان ابعاد گوناگونی دارد: تاریخ زاهدان سده سوم، زندگی علمی موصل، معماری کهن زیارتگاهها، ویرانی فرهنگی در دوره تسلط گروه افراطی و بازسازی پس از آن. بدین ترتیب، زندگینامه دینی، تاریخ شهری و میراث عراق را در کنار هم قرار میدهد.
