The early list explicitly includes Na'im ibn Ajlan among the Ansari martyrs, establishing the core identity and martyrdom. Ibsar al-Ayn, p. 158, supports the report of his brothers al-Nadr and al-Nu'man, their association with Imam Ali and Siffin, Na'im's continued residence in Kufa, his joining Imam Husayn and the first-assault tradition. Mustadrakat Ilm Rijal al-Hadith preserves the later extended Zarqi-Khazraji genealogy. Political or administrative roles reported for his brothers are not assigned to Na'im.
