परिचय
नजफ़ के वादी अस-सलाम में स्थित यह संयुक्त ज़ियारती स्थान हज़रत हूद और हज़रत सालेह, उन दोनों पर शांति हो, से संबद्ध है। स्थानीय मज़ार प्रशासन और धार्मिक स्मृति इसे दोनों पैग़म्बरों की क़ब्रों का स्थान बताती है, लेकिन क़ुरआन, मान्य तफ़सीरें और आरंभिक ऐतिहासिक स्रोत नजफ़ के इसी निश्चित बिंदु को उनकी दफ़नगाह के रूप में निर्णायक ढंग से प्रमाणित नहीं करते। इसलिए इसे सम्मानपूर्वक संबद्ध मक़ाम कहा गया है, निर्विवाद क़ब्र नहीं।

हज़रत हूद, उन पर शांति हो, क़ुरआन में क़ौम आद की ओर भेजे गए पैग़म्बर के रूप में वर्णित हैं। उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम को अल्लाह की इबादत, घमंड छोड़ने और नैतिक उत्तरदायित्व स्वीकार करने की दावत दी। उनकी क़ौम शक्ति और विशाल निर्माण पर गर्व करती थी, जबकि हूद ने बताया कि भौतिक सामर्थ्य मनुष्य को जवाबदेही से मुक्त नहीं करती। उनकी कथा दृढ़ता, सच्ची नसीहत और सामूहिक अहंकार के परिणाम का पाठ देती है।
हज़रत सालेह, उन पर शांति हो, क़ौम समूद की ओर भेजे गए। क़ुरआन ऊँटनी की निशानी, क़ौम की अवज्ञा और वचन तोड़ने की घटना सुरक्षित रखता है। उनका संदेश अल्लाह की निशानियों का सम्मान, कमज़ोरों के अधिकारों की रक्षा और धरती में फ़साद से बचना था। उनकी कथा प्राकृतिक संसाधनों, साझा ज़िम्मेदारी और अत्याचार के परिणाम को समझने का प्रभावशाली उदाहरण है।
इस मक़ाम का मूल्य यह है कि वह वादी अस-सलाम की पवित्र भूगोल में दो क़ुरआनी पैग़म्बरों की स्मृति जीवित रखता है। ज़ायर यहाँ दुआ और तिलावत कर सकते हैं, लेकिन ज़िम्मेदार परिचय को क़ुरआनी जीवन-वृत्त, बाद की स्थानीय निस्बत, दर्ज आधुनिक इमारत और ऐतिहासिक रूप से सिद्ध दफ़न के बीच भेद रखना चाहिए। यही सावधानी श्रद्धा की रक्षा करती है और प्रमाण को बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर पेश करने से बचाती है।
