ख़ज़राज क़बीले के अंसारी बुज़ुर्ग और अब्द रब्ब के पुत्र। बाद के हदीस और रिजाल स्रोत उन्हें पैग़म्बर मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम के सहाबा और इमाम अली अलैहिस्सलाम के साथियों में गिनते हैं। माता, पत्नी और संतानों का विवरण निश्चित रूप से सुरक्षित नहीं है।

⚔️ कर्बला आंदोलन में भूमिका

Al-Ghadir, vol. 1, p. 340, preserves the al-Ruhba witness report; al-Tabari's cited edition records the Burayr exchange at vol. 5, p. 423. Ibsar al-Ayn records his biographical and Karbala entry at p. 157, correcting the previous p. 158 citation, and places him among the first-assault martyrs. The exact journey, individual combat, killer, age, spouse, children and final speech are not equally established.
